EMILIE GRAY
Costume Designer
Emilie Gray is a Melbourne-based designer, first discovering her love of being creative with a sewing machine at age 11. Much of her inspiration is drawn from the lively influence of 1950's dress, focusing on accentuating the waist. She also applies to her designs the elegant shapes from the 1930's and 40's eveningwear, and the cute mod look of the 60’s.
She has designed and created costumes for classic performances such as 'The Woman in the Window' (2011),'The Importance of Being Earnest' (2008) and 'A Midsummer Nights' Dream' (2008), in addition to a number of plays in the Melbourne Comedy Festival 2009.
